Consultation and echocardiogram free of charge with a referral from your GP
It is common to think that cardiovascular disease is most common in older people. However, they can occur before birth and become more severe during childhood. The diagnosis and treatment of such diseases is covered by a separate branch of medicine - paediatric cardiology.
It is recommended to see a paediatric cardiologist if you:
- The child often feels tired;
- Sweating is bothersome;
- Pain in the heart or chest area;
- If he's short of air, his chest tightens;
- Difficult to tolerate exercise;
- Have a fast heartbeat or feel your heart pounding;
- Dizzy;
- If you plan to put your child into intensive sports training, it is recommended that you consult a paediatric cardiologist at least once a year to assess the effects of exercise on health and development.
