PROJECT "MODERNISATION OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE OF HEALTH CARE SERVICES PROVIDED IN THE HEALTH CENTRE IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF KĖDAINIAI DISTRICT" NR. 09-022-P-0045

  • Problem addressed by the projectA: The project addresses the problem of inadequate health care infrastructure in Kėdainiai District Municipality. The health needs of the population are increasing, but the current infrastructure of health care facilities is insufficient. Inadequate treatment equipment and infrastructure hampers the accessibility and quality of services. In Kėdainiai District, according to the State Data Agency, the population will reach 45 923 in 2023, and the demand for healthcare services is increasing.
  • Project objectiveA: The aim of the project is to improve the accessibility and quality of public health services in Kėdainiai district by modernising the infrastructure for health care services.
  • Planned project activities: The project activities include the modernisation of infrastructure in health care facilities. Žaliakalnio Poliklinika UAB is participating as a partner in the project to modernise its infrastructure for the provision of healthcare services by acquiring medical equipment for primary and secondary level healthcare services.
  • Project results: The project is expected to upgrade the infrastructure of health care facilities and thus improve the quality and accessibility of services to the population of Kėdainiai district. It is expected that the improved infrastructure will increase the number of patient visits to doctors and dentists.
  • European Union funding: The project is co-financed by the European Union Funds and the State Budget of the Republic of Lithuania under the European Union Funds Investment Programme 2021-2027. Project number: 09-022-P-0045.

The total value of the project is EUR 1 486 141.51.

The funding for the project is EUR 44 931.13.

The project will start on 05-09-2024.

The project will end on 31 August 2026.

PROJECT "Modernisation of the infrastructure required for the provision of health care services in Kaunas City Health Centre" No 09-022-P-0027

Kaunas City Municipality Administration in cooperation with the Central Project Management Agency in September 2024 18 On 28 April 2009, the parties signed the contract for the project "Modernisation of infrastructure for the provision of health care services in Kaunas City Health Centre" Nr. 09-022-P-0027. The project promoter is Kaunas City Municipality Administration, the administering authority is the Central Project Management Agency. The project is implemented in partnership with 29 partners.

Target group of the project - Kaunas City Municipality residents, health professionals and other health professionals.

Project objective - Increase the accessibility of services provided by Kaunas City Municipality health care institutions.

Problems addressed by the project - Inadequate access to personal health care services at Kaunas City Health Centre.

The project is expected to contribute to the improvement of health services in the institutions/companies that have signed a cooperation agreement in the established health centre. The upgrading of the infrastructure needed for the provision of health care services is planned to be financed in twenty-nine facilities/companies providing primary/secondary health care services. Facilities will be renovated and furniture and equipment will be purchased.

Project value - €8,557,566.36, financed by the European Union.

"Improving the quality and accessibility of outpatient home nursing services in Kaunas city" Nr. 09-010-P-0042

On 13 June 2024, Kaunas City Municipality Administration signed the contract No 09-010-P-0042 for the project "Improving the quality and accessibility of outpatient home nursing services in Kaunas", co-financed by the European Union Structural Funds. The project promoter is Kaunas City Municipality Administration, the administering authority is the Central Project Management Agency. The project is implemented with partners - Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Hospital Kaunas Clinics, Public Institution Kaunas City Polyclinic, UAB MEDGINTRAS, UAB InMedica, UAB Vita longa, UAB Žaliakalnis Polyclinic.

For the project Funding is granted under the European Union Funds Development Programme for the period 2021-2027, Progress Measure No.11-002-02-11-01 "Improving the quality and accessibility of healthcare services" for the period 2021-2027, the European Union Funds and the Economic Recovery and Resilience Facility (EGADP) and the State Budget of the Republic of Lithuania (hereafter referred to as "State Budget"). The maximum amount of eligible costs set in the project budget is EUR 117 937,30, of which the EGADP subsidy is EUR 97 468,83 and the State budget EUR 20 468,47. The project activities are scheduled to end on 31 March 2025.

Target group of the project: people of any age who have a disability, a level of incapacity for work or a level of incapacity for independence, a questionnaire-based assessment of the need for care, people with a life-threatening illness whose health condition is compatible with palliative care and who need long-term care, and people with mental health problems (senile dementia, Alzheimer's disease) who need long-term care. Persons who have reached retirement age and who, due to age, have partially or completely lost the ability to take care of their personal/family life and to participate in society, and persons suffering from chronic illnesses who need long-term care services, as well as their families and local communities.

Project objective - To improve the quality and accessibility of outpatient home nursing services in Kaunas city by equipping mobile teams providing ASPN with medical equipment.
